Ilha is a hand-drawn surface pattern collection inspired by Madeira’s botanical landscapes. Drawing from original photography and observations at Monte Palace Tropical Garden, the collection celebrates exotic flora, birdlife and ornamental details through decorative repeat designs for interiors and textiles.
Inspired by visits to Monte Palace Tropical Garden, the Ilha collection draws upon Madeira’s diverse plant life, bird species and ornamental details. Original photography informed the development of both the motifs and colour palette, providing a visual foundation for the hand-drawn repeat designs that followed.
